Drug Free School Policy
Having a customized, professional drug free school policy is essential to a well-run drug testing program. The right policy eliminates hassles and protects your school from unproductive and potentially unsafe students as well as legal disputes.
Student Education
Schools provide education materials explaining consequences of drug and alcohol use and the schools policies and procedures for meeting their policy standards. Distribution to each student of these educational materials and the school’s policy regarding the use of drugs and alcohol is mandatory.
Teacher Training
A one-hour training program is available to train teachers on specific, contemporaneous physical, behavioral, and performance indicators of probable drug use. A similar one-hour training is available to detect probable alcohol use.
Drug and Alcohol Testing
Types of drug testing: Random and Reasonable Suspicion. Types of alcohol testing: Random and Reasonable Suspicion. Testing for both can also be conducted at the beginning of the school year and/or the beginning of a particular sports season. Random Drug and/or Alcohol Testing Rates - Recommended minimum: 50% annually. Safety level service: 100% annually
Student Assistance Program
